MY STORY

One woman, every country. The farther the better.

I’m Alexandra, American by birth and expat by choice. I’ve
spent more of my life abroad than in the US: eight years in
Japan, the last ten in Singapore. By day I recruit in tech, which
makes me the friend everyone asks how to actually move
abroad.

Moving to Singapore lit the spark, with all of Asia suddenly in reach. By the time I’d seen Cambodia’s floating villages and
Bali’s waterfalls, I knew I wanted to see everywhere. Today I’m at 56 of 195, Southeast Asia is done, and Papua New Guinea is next.

One day it’s a Michelin tasting menu in heels; the next, hipdeep in mud in a Vietnamese cave. I love it all, the glamour
and the grit. I’ve broken down in the Gobi, met gorillas in
Bwindi (a days-old baby!), and I shoot it all on Sony mirrorless.
